One of the most beneficial attitudes you can have in this life is the attitude of gratitude. The benefits of gratitude are huge.
Why should we be grateful?
1. God Commands it! (Psalm 106:1; 107:1; 118:1; 1 Chronicles 16:34; 1 Thessalonians 5:18).
2. It’s our natural response to the revelation of God’s Character.
3. It rids us of arrogance and self-centeredness
4. It keeps our heart in the right relationship with the giver of all good gifts
5. It reminds us of what we have and cures our tendency for covetousness and envy
6. It helps us keep bitterness at bay
7. It positions us in the center of God’s will, where we can experience His intervention
8. Because God has been so good to us!
Research shows that Gratitude has a direct effect on our physical health and mental well-being. This is not guesswork; actual research findings say that keeping a gratitude journal, writing letters of gratitude to others, practicing gratitude meditation, etc., have real-life proven benefits on sleep, mental health, stress, social relationships, and much more. In fact, “wahala for who no dey grateful”.
Many of us know these things, however, very few practice gratitude daily. What if we do a 30 days challenge that helps us form the habit of being grateful? Will you be interested? We are going to be doing minimal activities like writing in our private gratitude journal (any notebook of choice) daily, thanking others daily, etc. The impact of these on your life will be amazing!
Before you decide, let me share with you what to expect in these 30 days. Maybe that will make you even more excited.
1. Expect amazing testimonies of God’s favor and blessings
2. Expect a deeper and more intimate relationship with Jesus. Gratitude creates access.
3. Expect to have a better mood, better health and enjoy better sleep
4. Expect to have a greater impact and influence
5. Experience joy and victory
If you are in for this, join this WhatsApp group now. We will roll out the challenge tonight and start tomorrow.
