Imagine watching an action packed film where the key act is so amiable, but the events of his life so boisterous that it looks like he’s going to die any minute. We all take solace in the social adage invented a few years back “actors no dey die”. The thought of that adage helps take care of our anxieties, worries and fears. We grab the edge of our sits, but we somehow hope that all things would stay equal, and that our loving hero will stay alive till when the movie is done. Do you have this experience?
There is nothing as comforting as going through life, the movie of your own life, armed with a clear idea of the end. We derive excitement and enjoy adventure from the lack of clarity about the subthemes, but we derive balance and confidence from knowing that in the end, we are victorious. Do you know that your life has a script?
God didn’t make us and leave us clueless about the details of our lives. There is abundant clarity in His word about our destination, and the places we must reach before we reach our exciting end. Everything that is happening to you, is not without purpose. Everything you passing through is preparing you for where you are going to. You are on a journey, and the reality that it all ends with you as a crowned victorious leader should make every sub theme excite you.
