The reason why your prayer hasn’t been answered, is because it hasn’t been heard by God yet!
1 John 5:14-15

14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
If what you are asking for isn’t in line with God’s will, God doesn’t hear. You can pray it louder, it doesn’t move God. Pray it more consistently, it’s personal exercise. Pray it for longer, it doesn’t change a thing. Go and block Him where He is meant to feature or wait for him at the camp, if what you are praying for doesn’t line up with God’s will, you are simply wasting your time. You are jogging to work on a treadmill, moving but not making progress!
Is God so unconcerned about us? Is He so loveless? Isn’t God love? Doesn’t God love His people anymore? Sure God loves me, and I can’t imagine a loving God not even hearing my prayers! Well, if it’s not aligned with His Agenda and priority, He doesn’t hear!
Read the scriptures, the thread of it is laced consistently with the reality that our access to ask and receive, is when we abide in Him. God’s love is not the stamp of approval on every of our flimsy wishes. God’s love is a costly decision to give His best to get us into His family. God’s love is not the mushy mushy feeling that makes Him bend to our every desire. God’s love is the motivation behind His move to reconcile man to Himself. This is love, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us! The greatest template for love, is Christ, sacrificed His all, to give us a go at salvation. Love, God’s kind of love, is focused on all that is done, and all the price paid to ensure the salvation of the object of one’s love! Read 1 Corinthians 13, it’s possible to give all you have to the poor and not have love. Love is not being nice to other people, it’s getting interested in their salvation, and paying whatever price it requires!
In very simple terms, God has more important things to pay attention to. There is no point decorating a soul that is hell bound. Or what will you do for a person who is in a car that is destined to crash in the next 30mins. If she pleads with you to please giver her a perfume, will that get your attention? Will it make any difference? Would listening to that request be love?
God’s channel is set! If you are not broadcasting on the frequency God is listening to, you are not being heard! Your hearers may hear you and enjoy you, but if that’s not the station God is listening to, you are not being heard by Him! To get his attention, you need to ask for His Will!
What is His Will again? Don’t complicate it, the scripture didn’t. His will is to reconcile man to Himself. His will is that all men be saved! His will is that all men enroll into a discipleship system, that keeps the gospel of the kingdom moving forward. That’s God’s will. It is when you give your time, energy and life to this enterprise that God makes you His priority. Whatever has the capacity to hinder you, make you less productive or make you unproductive is directly against God and gets His attention.
When a great God sends you on an errand, He removes all your obstacles, handles all your desires, and makes you represent Him totally. You can’t live like this for long and not enjoy all the things that others pursue. Wanting and wanting, and using God, people, religion or things to get your own needs and agenda met is a variation of idolatry. (Eph 5:5)
Quit being occupied with your challenges! Get plugged into the will of God, operate in Love just like God did, and watch if God will not move on your behalf.
