Some days back, I got a wave of inspiration that this year will be my year of manifestation. What this means is that things that I believed were mine that were not apparent will become apparent this year. My hands will reach into the invisible and bring out into visible reality, things that before now, were dreams. I and all that read here this year, will manifest! We will be productive, multiply, replenish the earth and subdue it, and it will be apparent! Every thought that we have sustained in our minds, every dream that we have nurtured, every hope that we have kept alive, will manifest this year.
The exciting part is, it’s happening for me already and I welcome you to join and support me in making this dream a reality. Today, January 1, a dream that I have been incubating together with some of my colleagues in Generis, has been birthed. The maiden edition of a subscription based magazine with the name RECHARGE was finished at the press yesterday and will reach me in the early hours of today!
The purpose of RECHARGE is to fill a gap and a need. There have been many magazines that focus on marketing, many more on soft issues but none that focuses on motivation, inspiration and development within the corporate and entrepreneural sectors. This site has shown me, that there is a real need in this area, and it would be a big benefit to provide people with information in print form. Many times I have seen comments from people who loved particular posts so much they printed them, this is alright, today however you have the opportunity of also having developmental information in a medium you will be proud of keeping. A true collectors item! The target market is workers, students, entrepreneurs, and basically anyone who can read.
The concept of RECHARGE was also built and fashioned around the recharge card. These are cards we scratch and use to load our mobile phones. The typical person spends N1500 worth of credit in 2 weeks (half of a month). RECHARGE Magazine is built in such a way that it costs N1500 for subscription for 6 months (half a year). The shape is the magnified version and orientation of a recharge card (half of the current day magazine). It offers information that provide recharge value for the mind (information on current trends, entrepreneurship and investment), the body (health recharge), the emotions (emotional recharge) and more.
RECHARGE is developed as a magazine that adds value on all fronts. While it adds direct value to the subscriber, we have also made a commitment to give 10% of the proceeds from the magazines as a gift to the Little Saints Orphanage. This way, aside of the value it adds to you and to the people in the Little Saints Orphanage, you also get to know that by subscribing you are adding value to others.
RECHARGE is also meant to be interractive, and its authors are people from different works of life, including you. Your comments and suggestions to particular articles which will be available online can be published with future editions. This makes the magazine accessible to and by people outside the continent of Africa. From the sources of traffic on this site, it is imperative that we have distributors accross the globe, luckily, we have this reasonably covered.
How can you help? There are many levels you can help on.
The first level is to be a subscriber, and encourage others to be too. My vision for this magazine is that it does 3000+ Subscribers per state in Nigeria and also 3000+/country in every other country. That is a big vision, but I believe with the right support, partnership and help, impossible is nothing.
The second level is to be a subscriber and also a contributor. By being a contributor you send articles to us on a regular basis, we will publish this online, gauge the response and based on this, publish it in the magazine to become a collectors item.
The third level is to be a coordinator, this means in your company, you will be our contact person for coordinating how the magazines we deliver to you get to your colleagues. We expect that coordinators could help distribute to between 10 and 1000 colleagues. As a coordinator you can also assist us with signing on your company (perhaps they can subscribe for all employees), you can also help us secure adverts – we can have an arrangement for this (win-win)
The fourth level is to be a distributor. For Lagos, Abuja and Portharcourt, we can have more than one distributor, but for other states we can consider on a case by case basis. We would also expect one distributor to be able to handle one country (for starters) outside of Nigeria. Being a distributor will attract some commission. Once enrolled on this, we intend to pay commission on a monthly basis.
The fifth level? You can be a launcher, and simply send us much more than we need to make this project as big as we dream. We need positive conditioning in Nigeria, we have everything else that it takes. You can send us a big gift, and be assured that you have invested in the lives of thousands!
