One hidden clue to help you identify your life purpose

In ancient China, there lived an elderly woman who carried two large pots of water on her shoulders every day. One of the pots was perfect and delivered a full portion of water to the woman’s house, while the other had a crack in it, and by the time the woman arrived home, it was always half empty.

The perfect pot was proud of itself, feeling like it had achieved its purpose, while the cracked pot felt like a failure because it could only deliver half of what it was made to do. This continued for two years, and every day, the cracked pot felt miserable and ashamed of its imperfection.

One day, the cracked pot finally spoke up and apologized to the old woman for its flaw, which caused water to leak out all the way back to her house. The woman smiled and said, “My dear pot, don’t be ashamed of your imperfection. Look at the flowers on your side of the path. They are not on the other pot’s side because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them. For two years, I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.”

This story teaches us a valuable lesson that broken people have an interesting way of being a blessing that unbroken people have no access to. The cracked pot, with its imperfection, was able to water the flowers that brought beauty to the woman’s house, and without it, the flowers wouldn’t have grown. Similarly, our imperfections and brokenness can lead us to unique opportunities to bless others in ways that we might not even realize. It’s not our perfection that makes us valuable, but our willingness to be used by God, flaws and all. So don’t be ashamed of your imperfections, embrace them, and trust that God can use them to bring beauty and blessing into the world.
