I observed recently that there are many misconceptions about a number of things surrounding me, and I’ve been wondering how I’ll resolve them. Silence they say is the only requirement required for the wrong information to own the airwaves. I have decided to do justice to this misconceptions, by offering the public the benefit of my side of the story. Sure some people will read what I have to say, and still stick with their believes, and many will read and go… “aha”, for those many, it’s all worth all the pains involved in penning them down.
I understand well that there is only two categories of people that don’t get bad publicity, the people that are dead, and the people that are doing nothing. Thankfully, I am alive and busy, and capable of explaining my side of these stories.
Please find below some of these misconceptions and the truth.
1. When people browse www.deoluakinyemi.com, I make money! This is not true! Someone actually called me one morning and told me that she was helping me make money. “How?” I asked, and she responded that she was told that when people browse my site, they are helping me make money. I explained to her that even though this was not a bad thing, in my own case it was far from the truth. I have no google adsense on my site, and if I had it I would have been making a lot of decent income based on the traffic, but I don’t. When people come to my site, except they decide to donate money to my bank account, I earn absolutely nothing. I have kept this site running for over 2yrs now, on the steam of my desire to add value, to make people better, to invest in young people, to be a blessing. When you come to read, you gain, and I don’t lose. If you send me money too, I’ll not reject it.
2. New Nigeria Club is an MLM! This is not true! A friend came to my office today and told me he thought that NNC was an MLM and that was why he hadn’t joined. I went on to explain things to him, that we are actually a club with a vision of joining hand to create a New Nigeria. I explained to him how we are organized to achieve our objectives, and the opportunities we have created for members as a way of making nation building a win-win proposition. I explained to him why the reward system, and how it was possible to gain so much value without a dime of reward. When he heard the ideology behind things, what we had done so far, the registration history of the club and all… he was awed, signed on, and assured me that he has become an ambassador for the Club.
3. Adeolu Akinyemi is the first signup in NNC and he must have cycled out like 5 times already! This is not true! I am not the first signup, a number of charity positions are, and I haven’t cycled out yet. This is the slowest I have ever been on any reward program I have been active in, in more complex and more demanding reward programs it took me less than 10days to get the ultimate price. In NNC however, I have been so busy making sure that things work, that I have been assisting others more than marketing personally. Quite a good number of people have however cycled out apart from the charity slots. However, without getting the ultimate reward, within my 5 weeks in the club, by taking advantage of the Land Deal 1, I have made a profit of N2,000,000 on profit from the land deal alone. Even if I cycled twice, I wouldn’t have made so much. The deals is where the opportunity is, reward is for people who want to help us with marketing this laudable project. I have also spent millions of my own personal money in making sure that things are balanced for the club in it’s early days.
4. DSCommunity and PECT are subsidiaries of Generis Solutions! This is not true! Many people assume that since DSCommunity operated out of our office for the 6 months we supported them with office space, internet and receptionist it means that they are subsidiaries. They are not. They are only another company we decided to help succeed by providing them with office services solutions at a price. They were coming from Delta, and the needed some support in Lagos that we provided. The relationship worked well, while it lasted and they are safely in their own office now. Someone actually came to the office yesterday to tell me that he believes that we are shareholders in the company and that was his basis for wanting to invest in the company and it’s projects. We are not shareholders neither are we directors. We also are yet to buy any of the products of the company. If you want to buy into any of the products, do your research and don’t buy on the merit of any association.
5. From afar… Generis Solutions is an all serious, focused and work centered company with no play or fun. From very close, what are those guys into… they just gather to have fun, and are doing or selling nothing. This is not true! It’s actually interesting that we have two completely opposite perspectives from people. Well guess they should all meet themselves and sort it out. On one hand, we all strive to achieve 80% of our daily to do list everyday, and are diligent about measuring it. On the other hand, we have celebrated something or the other more than 5 times in the last 1 month. It’s simply amazing as there seems to be someone celebrating something and inviting everybody else every week.
6. Adeolu Akinyemi is…… there are so many others I encounter from time to time and it amazes me. I’ve met people who were shocked that only one person manages and writes all the information on this site. I have met some who expect me to be a giant of some sort. I have also met those who felt there was going to be a lot of ceremony and protocols involved in meeting me. I have met those who thought I was much older, shorter hair, e.t.c. I am a simple, future focused, fun loving, wife loving, children loving happy young man that God has blessed, and where I am today… is the lowest I’ll ever be.

hmm. there’s still more to be said. i remember what one musician (one of the former plantations boys i think) sang; “if you do good, good go follow you. if you do bad bad go follow you”, eventually!
I want to thank Mr. Deolu Akinyemi a lot!
Without their support in providing us a needed office space and conducive working environment, it would have been very difficult to establish a firm footing in Lagos even though with a fee.
I learnt a lot of things while running our business activities around Generis and this I know have affected my perceptions about business generally. I sometimes look back and tell myself …. “I wish I knew all that I know today!”.
We have finally moved to our new office at 55 Opebi Road (Punch Building). You can learn more about our company by visiting our website at http://www.pectonline.com
hi Deolu! Hi every one!
I want to believe u had expected stuffs like this…. I wouldnt entirely blame people, most times it pretty difficult for people to believe someone could be doing something sacrificial without having ulterior motives…
We hear and see it every day! in news,,,
While am not trying to hold a brief for Deolu, i want us to know every sacrifice sown MUST produce Fruits of reward…
We need more people u can spear head new innovations for change.
Encouragement and support is needed too!
Deolu. You said it all, stones and pebbles are always thrown at a fruit bearing tree, not a FRUITLESS ONE.
oga mi,
you just peeped into my meditations this morning. you were part of my thoughts.
no one can ever aim for the TOP without being a TOPIC, for we judge each other from where we are ourselves, and not what it is. But i came to this conclusion- above all, we must be true to ourselves and to God. we will handle misconceptions but not to the detriment of our goals.
selah
My brother
You are a candle that lights other candles. Many things were said about Jesus and his impact is still with us today. Your life is being measured by your donation and accumulation and i look at my life and the people of Ajegunle and all we see are your donations. it wouldn’t matter what people will have to say please stay focused on what God has called you to do and refuse to be distracted.
People must talk but i have learnt to be dead to whatever they are saying. they talked about Oyedepo, Sam Adeyemi, so why wouldn’t they talk about you
please we have more stuffs to accomplish for this nation that we sudn’t bother our heads about the people who watch things happen, let’s keep making things happen.
sorry i meant to say your life is being measured by your donation and not your accumulation.
The public admires the man who has enough confidence in himself to take a chance. These chances are the main things after all, “the main hues, the main hulabaloo, the main complaints, the main rumours, the main……the main……
The man who tries to succeed must expect to be criticized.
It’s a symbol of recognition.
Success is the accomplishment of that which most people think can’t be done.
Therefore, if evil be said of thee, and if it be true, correct thyself; if it be a lie, laugh at it.
That which does not kill you makes you stronger.
Keep marching forward…………..
I feel you!!!
elenu lo le nu…let them say!
carry go!
cheers
You are a hero & will always be a hero.
Side talks shd not distract you.
Just keep up the good work.
Hi Deolu,
Someone told me about you and how sound you are except you don’t have anything good to offer people would definitely say things about you i beleve in a new Nigeria i believe we can create a better Nigeria its our responsibility.
Hi Deolu ,
I have met you a couple of time both near and far and i know you are the dynamic type. For any body to be a leader he or she must accept that these misconceptions will always arise. There are more than what gets to your ears , believe me.
But, its comes with our position as leaders. you must prepare for more. Not all misconceptions deserve an answer but but remember there are no stupid questions , only stupid answers. your answers have been simply impressive .
My parting gift is a hausa proverb which i will not translate becouse i want you to learn more—
“ko ana muzuru ana shaho zakaran da Allah ya nufa chara sai ya yi”
John the Baptist came, without eating and without drinking, and people said he had a demon. Jesus came, eating and drinking, and they said he was a friend of sinners and wine bibbers. In confronting this issue, Jesus, our perfect example said “wisdom is justified of her children”. In order words, wisdom is proved to be right by her deeds/results. Focus on blessing lives my brother and forget what people will say. Whichever way, there is always something to say!
Deolu, you have no idea how many people you encourage on a daily basis. I am one of the silent people who visit your blog and read and never leave comments. You are actually a Role Model that i admire. Even though, i have never met you, i have read, and learnt so much about you from newspapers, websites and i know that you are a down to heart person.
Keep it up man and never relent, irrespective of some unrealistic comments about you.
Let me give you an Hint: You are the major influence on why i got into business today. And i draw a lot of inspiration from your idealogy and it has helped me to attain a greater heights than i could ever imagine sometimes ago….
Deolu,
Do not be discouraged by these misconceptions.
I am sure that you have more people on your side….people that love and respect you, what you represent and what you are doing.
Even if some of us are silent or not very active for now, it does not in any way diminish our respect for you.
It is also good that you took time remind all what you stand for.
Regards,
Mathew
Hi Deolu,
Just to add to all what has been said, you are an inspiration and a shinning light to most of us who visit this blog and have met you. Please just keep the light shinning and keep focus to the tremendous work your doing.
Your good deeds will be what counts at the end of the day not what idle minds say.
Misconceptions, they say, constitute a part of the lives of great people.
I have worked with you and i have learnt at your feet. You are a shining light and a flaming torch.
It’s true that there are a lot of people that have misconceptions about you, please be aware that there are more of us that have caught a glimpse of the real you.
and you know something…….
YOU ROCK!!! (lol)
Deolu,
I was amazed when I read about the more we look at your page the richer you become story.I did not know your attackers have become that vicious. Indeed after a while I sincerely wished in my heart that it was true because the way you give out so much of what you know. Only someone that gives as much as you do deserves that kind of reward. Unfortunately, it’s not like that.
I will like to encourage you to continue to do good. Only God in heaven that sees the hearts of men will reward you. I and my family have been beneficiaries of your kindness and we will continue to be greatful.
Just remember that you have a great team that supports you and a wife every man wishes for (even we ladies learn from her).
I think one of the things people forget is that Generis solutions was there before the MLMs came about. As my people talk o, LET THEM SAY.
Keep the flag flying!
I’ve heard this before, but this is a new perspective: “and where I am today… is the lowest I’ll ever be.” That is quite something, is it? It’s no surprise that success is greeting all your endeavours. Keep at it bros!
Hello Deolu,
Nice u spoke out but should u have been bothered?
A wise man once said that children don’t throw stones on a tree without fruits. People talking about u simply means u are making waves and thanks be to God that it has been and will continue to be POSITIVE WAVES.
Keep riding on high for your God has annointed u to shine in midst of darkness.
Luv u!
I was opportune to meet you once at your office. That was when I came to collect my prize for the March summary competition.
I got a free website http://valueandvirtue.com from Deolu.
I was greatly inspired at what you were doing and saw the man I want to be in you. I wished I had taken my digital camera so I would be
Able to take pictures with you. Deolu keep up the great work and God would give you the strength to keep the fire burning.
No one is perfect but at least we can appreciate what Deolu is doing.
Cheers!
I always good to clear the air for those who have ears to hear and then save yourself some scandalous statements and then the ignoramus to die out of their state once they refuse to change.
cheers
Adeolu, i must say that you are indeed a humble person, i wonder when we as blacks will stop thinking that everything has to be about money, what has happened to human values? i must say that we will need more of Deolu around, like minds to run together and think of how to make ourselves better if we can think more of our neighbour than ourselves.
Deolu, keep the torch and let it shine, your reward is in no man.
I have not been opportuned to meet with you or speak with you, we in the diaspora are in love with you and the work you do.
God bless u
Deolu,
What you have done under this piece ‘Misconceptions’ is simply to clear air on some issues. That you’ve done quite frankly.
I read your articles regularly and I like your presentation. Keep up the good work! You are GOOD!
Cheers.
Akin Ayoola
Oga, do u remember Sunny Ade’s song? Let them say! Won ma run down. I have personally benefited from Deolu…in the Rewards and Recognition program, even though we have met we don’t know each other personally. Your good works will continue to speak for you. You shouldn’t even have taken the pain to clear yourself. You should have let us respond to “their” comments on this site and elsewhere. Good works, just like character is like smoke. No matter how much you cover it will always be known.
I believe everyone who reads this site and decides to participate in the programs offered here is an adult…which means you can think through the programs and come to a rational conclusion. Its absolutely unfair to smear a good person’s name in the mud.
It sure could be disheartening to hear about all these misconceptions but I am sure the reward of your effort will keep speaking for itself….The very best things in life are free and the quantum of people your reach of insights extends to daily will surely be glad that a DeoluAkinyemi passed through a place called Nigeria and will be grateful for the free daily peeks at your websites. U sure have summarised a Ton of useful advises in a miniscule and effective package.
I wonder how many others have such ideas as yours but never really get off the ground with it.
Please keep the flag flying and keep sharing your visions….its a seed in time.
It is only people without value that people do not talk about or scandalize. By their fruit you shall know them. You have come from a good chip. Keep up the good work. As you sow in the life of others, God will water your bed.
when supposed educated people choose to carry stories that do not have basis about, i call it educated illiteracy. its important i stress here that they are only contributing their own quota to building your network and net worth. i see no reason why people will see good and will do every thing possible to destroy it.
make dem talk the worst they can do is to even help in telling someone else who did not know about what you are doing.
I am very optimistic that you did not allow this jobless people to slow your pace, God will keep giving them job like the one they have decided to do.
you are GREAT
