In Celebration of Pastor Tunde Bakare.

One of the best things that can happen to a man in life, is to encounter Jesus, and find someone who you can see and relate with as you follow Jesus with them as your guide. Who you follow however is a function of what you are looking for.

I remember someone asking me a few years ago why I was following Pastor Tunde Bakare and not someone else? I politely answered him that the someone else would have been better off following Pastor Tunde Bakare. If God’s word is anything to go by, in the teeming crowd of Nigerian pastors, that’s one visible person that I can say is reading and living the Bible in a non-partitioned life. He’s really a last man standing.

In a nation where corruption and personal agenda stains our polity and faith, Pastor Tunde Bakare stands out as a clear light. He’s first to admit he’s not perfect, but where he stands is clear to the unbiased. May God keep you accurate for our generation.

What authority do I have to analyze others? I take my liberty from Philippians 3:17-20. “Stick with me, friends. Keep track of those you see running this same course, headed for this same goal. There are many out there taking other paths, choosing other goals, and trying to get you to go along with them. I’ve warned you of them many times; sadly, I’m having to do it again. All they want is easy street. They hate Christ’s Cross. But easy street is a dead-end street. Those who live there make their bellies their gods; belches are their praise; all they can think of is their appetites.”

Happy Birthday to my leader, may my generation be like David’s mighty men and finish off the remaining giants.
