A young man was taken to the police station for disturbing peace by fighting with another man who had connections, and gang beaten by 3 officers in plain clothes. He was thrown into a cell, and in a short while died. A fellow cell mate, who was initially taken for loitering was arraigned for haven killed him. He was compelled to plead guilty, or face the consequences.
I heard this story on radio, a true life story, and I just felt really bad and sorry for the people among us, who are bereft of resources and relationships. I felt the burden of the poor and the travails of the unconnected, and it increases my resolve to want to ensure that no man or woman I know walks alone! Woe to him who is alone in Zion!
It’s a jungle out there, and those without influential brothers and sisters are the side dressing that the worlds system eats its meal with. God however places the desolate in families! Also, for whatever can be said in defense of poverty, be assured that if money is a defense, then poverty is outright exposure.
What must you do?
1. Realize that wealth is your birthright and plug into a mentor, coach or system to guide you.
2. Consciously build relationships daily that will be there for you in troubled times. How true are your current relationships?
3. Be brutally honest with yourself, don’t deceive yourself or allow yourself to be deceived.
4. As your hand gets strengthened, be there for others.
