Don’t Be a Hypocrite!

“What you do speaks so loudly that I can not hear what you say.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

It’s amazing how we all seem to have opinions about things we have no competence in. Hypocrisy is a real barrier to learning, the moment you are not willing to tell yourself the truth, you’ll find yourself speaking authoritatively about something you have no rights to meddle in and you end up not learning and not changing!

I have seen people talk about financial intelligence when an audit of their lives reveal that their lives couldn’t be further from what their heads agree is true. Or don’t you think it’s ironical for a married man to be discussing ethics and morality with a lady he’s having extra marital sex with? Where is the right to speak about what you are guilty of? Those words are nothing but empty! Don’t complain of national corruption when you are corrupt in the small home you manage. Don’t lament about national or corporate financial impropriety when you are not managing yours well. Fix yourself, and the world will be fixed!

So you don’t earn passive income? Then, please shut up and listen to those who do, and learn from them. Suppress the urge to always want to speak because people expect you to have a valid opinion about every topic, don’t let them do this to you. Be humble enough to keep your scarlet tongue behind your ivory bars. If your life is in disarray in any area, keep quiet and learn! If it is in disarray in any area, chances are, you need to fix more than that area.

… and, this is not a perfect description of that your friend, this is first about you. It’s so easy to see the problems outside ourselves. The only person we really have influence and control over is ourselves. Fix the log in your eye, and then you’ll have the right perspective about the speck in the eyes around yours. Usually, it’s the log in your eye, that looks like a speck further away.

Thank you sir. The humility to accept that we do not know something and that to sit down at the feet of those who do – this is what makes the difference between where we are today and where we will be tomorrow. Thanks CM

The professor and the canoe boy! The professor was a man who looked down on the less privilege. He sees them as people who know nothing. The professor thought he knows everything until the canoe boy who was paddling the canoe to the other side of the river saw a storm coming and asked the professor, do you know how to swim? The professor said no, the boy said 100% of your life is gone professor. The canoe boy dived into the ocean and nothing was heard about the professor again.

You need to admit your ignorance than pretend about it. What moral right do you have to think somebody does not know when you are the one that should know.

    Thank you CM
