There are many sides to analyze the narrative of Daniel 2 and 3 from. The one I’m most fond of is the vision of Nebuchadnezzar. This is a vision that stretches all the way to the end of the Age! Every time I read this dream, the baby in my loins leaps for joy!
The Stone cut without human hands, is the child born without human hands. A virgin conception! More aptly put a virgin surrogate. That which would destroy all the kingdoms of this earth, and start up a kingdom that shall not be handed over to any other would be that stone! The Bible refers to him as the Chief cornerstone! The stone the builders rejected! The stone of revelation against which everything that comes into contact shatters! Jesus Christ is that stone!
What gets me the most excited is what became of the stone! The bible says it became a mountain and filled the earth! Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t know if you can recognize yourself in this narrative! The stone didn’t disappear and then there was a mountain, the stone became a mountain! The stone was like a seed, sown, that brought forth it’s type. You and I are living stones, fitted together into the house of God! The dream is being fulfilled and right now the stones that make the mountain are pulling together.
Note this mountain is like the stone! The model for which the Church would be built is Jesus. As the stone, so the mountain!
“But throughout the history of these kingdoms, the God of heaven will be building a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will this kingdom ever fall under the domination of another. In the end it will crush the other kingdoms and finish them off and come through it all standing strong and eternal. It will be like the stone cut from the mountain by the invisible hand that crushed the iron, the bronze, the ceramic, the silver, and the gold”
This Daniel revelation is DEEP! Watch the stone, it’s the 3D model for the mountain. Jesus born of virgin birth, church not an organization headed by man! Debated scriptures at 12? Church will have a season of word accuracy explosion before maturity! Introduced by a prophetic voice? The mature church will be introduced by an Elijah company. Baptized in Jordan representing death? The Church must die, lose it’s personal agenda to enter into God’s fullness! The Son, is the template for the body! Jesus heads the church and runs the universe from there!
