This morning I got a buzz from a colleague (Busayo Akanro) showing me the scripture where it talks about the word of God for the 24th day of the ninth month (Sept 24). The word actually read that from today onward, irrespective of where I was coming from, the lord will bless me. I thought I should share the same word with you. Do read it.

I read it to another colleague who was shocked that there was word for today in the bible, and how it so much applied to his life. Do you want to know if it applies to your life? I now took the liberty to go ahead and read what led to the particular verse, and I made a remarkable discovery. Maybe you should read it here.

10On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying,

11 Thus says the Lord of hosts: Ask now the priests to decide this question of law:

12 If one carries in the skirt of his garment flesh that is holy [because it has been offered in sacrifice to God], and with his skirt or the flaps of his garment he touches bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any kind of food, does what he touches become holy [dedicated to God’s service exclusively]? And the priests answered, No! [Holiness is not infectious.]

13 Then said Haggai, If one who is [ceremonially] unclean because he has come in contact with a dead body should touch any of these articles of food, shall it be [ceremonially] unclean? And the priests answered, It shall be unclean. [Unholiness is infectious.]

14 Then answered Haggai, So is this people and so is this nation before Me, says the Lord; and so is every work of their hands, and what they offer there [on the altar] is unclean [because they who offer it are themselves unclean].

15 And now, I pray you, consider what will happen from this day onward. Since the time before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the Lord, how have you fared?

16 Through all that time [the harvests have not fulfilled expectations, for] when one has gone expecting to find a heap [of sheaves] of twenty measures, there were but ten; when he has gone to the wine vat to draw out fifty bucketfuls from the press, there were only twenty.

17 I smote you with blight and with mildew and with hail in all [the products of] the labors of your hands; yet you returned not nor were converted to Me, says the Lord.

18 Consider, I pray you, from this day onward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the Lord’s temple was [re]laid, consider this:

19 Is the harvested grain any longer in the barn? As to the grapevine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree–they have not yet borne. From this day on I will bless you.

The Key word that stood out for me here, apart from the latter blessing, is the fact that holiness is not contagious while unholiness is contagious. In fact God went ahead and declared that from this day, that if you engage in unclean things, then everything you touch will be unclean, but if you are clean and engage in unclean things, you will be unclean. God asked a question on the 24th day of the 9th month – How have you fared? Are you clean or unclean? What are you still engaging in? How does God classify you? If you are unclean, doing clean things does not help, if you are clean, doing unclean things doesn’t make your being clean count.

Are you clean? God still desires that his people are holy, he wants to bless us, beyond what the eyes of man has ever seen, beyond what has ever been witnessed. Are you giving him the chance to do that through you?

This is a very good, wisdom ladden portion of the Scripture loaded with a lot of lessons and very pregnant with blessings (Just the way I’m)..

I Decalre that the revelation of the profound blessings of God that as been unleashed in our lives From the 24th day of the 9th month be made evident in our lives. Amen! This will only be realized in our lives only if we remain equally yoked, and walk with him. The Blessing as been released already, all we must do is present a receptive platform for the physical manifestation of this blessings.

    2 Corinthians 6:14-17 says
“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ‘I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people. Therefore ‘Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”

The emphasis on the touching that which is unclean shows that we will only be accepted by God and be able to receive that which He promised if we flee from all appearances of evil, although He said in (1Cor 10:13)

” No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it”

or because he said in Hebrews 2:18 that

“Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.”

that we should now start launching our selves in the direction of the unclean? Paul said in Heb 4:15 that God will not sympathize with us if we fall by associating ourselves with the unclean

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we areโ€”yet was without sin.

There are some believers who have decided to spend time with unbelievers. Perhaps their intentions were to witness to these heathens, but after hours of fellowship, witnessing hardly appears to be the focus. Regardless of the appearances, Alot of people attribute the verse only to marriage but come to think of it, marriage is just a class of relationship. God as warn us tru Apostle Paul about being yoked with unbelievers, He sent Haggai in the days of old and now He’s using Akanro tru Deolu as is mouthpiece.

    A soul searching piece indeed.
“If you are unclean, doing clean things does not help, if you are clean, doing unclean things doesnโ€™t make your being clean count”. Enough said!

    Wonderful,

What can i say? profound truth.

The benefits of holyness far surpasses the short time pleasures of sin

we need to check ourself from time to time and ensure we present
our bodies, spirit and all holy and acceptable to the lord.

Then only can we enjoy his goodness.

Big Thanks Brother Deolu, my warm regards to your entire house hold

    Gosh!

Why didnt I check my box on the 24th? That day was my birthday.

I didnt know that God loves me so much that He gave a word for my day! Anyway, I prefer seeing it now than not to have seen it at all.

Wow!!! This is the word I need for this moment.

It is a confirmation of what I have been getting from God for this season. “Be Holy as your father is Holy”

    Deolu. God bless you.

WOW! I think this clarifies what has been happening to me recently. The lord’s favor has been surrounding me like a shield (Psalm 5:12).

I got an email on the 24th of sept to start a contract/consult that I’ve been pursuing for a while and more calls, mails and offers from other sources around the globe have been coming in since then.

I must have been doing something good (clean) prior to the 24th ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thx Deolu

Congrats to Adeolu ‘Dele ! We’re birthday mates ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve actually seen this verse(s) some years ago. While the reference to the 24th day of the 9th month may not have been sept 24 ‘cos the hebrew calendar was different from ours, the ‘prophetic’ validity of it’s applicability (Rev. Chris Okotie comes to mind here ๐Ÿ™‚ ) is still there.

God help all of us to steer clear of appearances of evil and do our dealings, keeping contact without contamination. God only has problems with (unequal) yokes.

And without God’s mercies, holiness is nothing but a day-dream.

do you know that it is possible to live holy? it ca only be done by the help of the Holy spirit. even Jesus could not have done it if the holyspirit wasnt active.many have good intentions, willpower and zeal but all of these cant help alone. the Holyspirit is the helper. invite him today.
