There are a few things that confuse people, and distract them from their path of greatness. Don’t let them distract you. If they have already distracted you, repent! That means change your mind, and then change your ways!
- The Lust for Money! Many people have tried to draw the distinction between money and the love of it! Don’t let anybody confuse you, once money is your object, motive or intention you are on a downward slope. Once money is not your slave, but your end, it has become your master, you will never have enough of it. The next time you go to a funeral, check the pockets of the diseased, check if their fists are tightened on any cash. You won’t take a dime out of here. Deliberately make up your mind to leave money behind. If you put your priorities and focus right, money will follow you, not you it.
- Human applause! People do crazy things, just to win the approval of people who don’t really matter. Trying to please all, is one sure formula for failure. People are not that reliable, the same people who celebrate you today, don’t need much motivation to crucify you tomorrow. If your perception of progress is measured by human standards, you have failed before starting. Align your core values, ask what is important to God! Let your life’s centre be God and His will. It sounds spiritual, it wasn’t designed to, life is spiritual.
- Fake Spiritual Leaders (Pastors Inclusive). Yes. The Bible says that Satan understands that the best place to operate from is inside Religious gatherings. He positions as an angel of light, and his servants also position as pastors, apostles and bishops. Jesus gave a formula for knowing who is Fake and who is real. Here it its – Matt 7:15-20 “Be wary of false preachers who smile a lot, dripping with practiced sincerity. Chances are they are out to rip you off some way or other. Don’t be impressed with charisma; look for character. Who preachers are is the main thing, not what they say. A genuine leader will never exploit your emotions or your pocketbook. These diseased trees with their bad apples are going to be chopped down and burned”. Once they start raising plenty of offerings, run! Don’t be deceived by signs and wonders, the antichrist has power to do wonders! The signature is inconsistency with the theme of God’s word. Don’t be carried away by the quoting of scriptures. Satan quoted scriptures, but out of context. Understand God’s will! We are instructed to check for character. How are these people secretly?
- Extramarital Sex! There is a narrow path that leads to life, but there is also a narrow path that leads to death. You can excuse it away for all you care, but the person you were before extramarital sex, and the person you become after, are two different people. Once you join yourself with another human being, you become one with them. Once you donate your life seed, or participate as collector and allow different seeds to be planted in you, something has changed! You may rise from there and keep preaching God’s word, you may even do signs and wonders after, but something is damaged. Where there was wheat, now there are tares. The only way out is genuine repentance, and you can’t do that in the secret, and you can’t continue and be repenting regularly. I know of popular anointed men of God whose ministries are booming, but their source has changed. When they rise, they are like Samson, but their eyes have been gorged out and have been spiritually reduced to pepper grinders. If you are favored to have been kept, stay in His grace! If you have bungled it, confess your wrongs, and deal with it now that you are still unpopular. Women are not left out in these, as the times are changing. God is not mocked. Temporary progress is meaningless in the light of a certain catastrophic end.
Today’s message may be a little harsh. It is better to pay now, and play later. All you need to do is Repent. 2 Cor 7:10-11 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. 11 For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
