Overcoming Inertia – Day 3

Today I’m posting from Yola! I was half merely optimistic that I’ll be able to post, but you know how opportunities come to those who are prepared 🙂

Yesterday went well, I flew to Yola via abuja, the diets in the plane were vegetarian 🙂 My supper was where I had to make a choice, and guess what, the world is watching, so I must make my target, and so must you.

The first few days of starting a new habit are the only times when it’s really though. As soon as you cross the one week mark, things almost switch to autopilot until after another while. In physics, we were made to understand that the force requires to move a stationary object is more than the force required to keep it moving. The coefficient of static friction is greater than the coefficient of kinetic friction. More is required to start than to maintain.

What are you trying hard to achieve? Are you starting a business and it feels like you need to work 18hrs to keep it afloat? Welcome to the real world, it’s the beginning phase, it’s where inertia has to be overcome. Are you starting a career and does it seem like you are getting bored too soon? It’s inertia. Have you had an idea for so long and done nothing about it? It’s inertia. It’s the force that keeps the average average. It’s the barrier to motion and the limitation to acceleration. Get over your inertia, dare to start!

So how do you overcome it???? Really Deolu i’m keen to know…cos i have ideas and dreams… even simply feelings of slight dissatisfaction….

So how do you do it???????????????????????

Dare to start – doesn’t begin to do it o!!!

Dare. (I admit to the fear) So how do you overcome it???

Sometimes it is a fear of failure combined with fear of others’ opinion… and simply a fear of facing your dream (you know) and realising that the same feeling of discontent that pushed you to start in the first place hasn’t gone and maybe it was all a big mistake… other times it is NOT a fear but rather a patronising feeling you get for your own dreams that tells you “they are not noble enough, they won’t change the world so why pursue it???””

    Any thoughts…

Dare to start… helps me not.

    But truth

the Only help may come from self. Inertia…hmm

you are very correct. getting started is where the problem lies but after one has started, things just go on smoothly.inertia is defined as the reluctance of a body that is static to start moving which is very true. soem people do not want to move because they are fraid of the outcome but how do you know if the outcome will be successful if you dont move? i have come to understand that no one achieves anything in life trying to play safe. you need to lsunch out.

Meet Deolu

Many hold their audience spell bound with motivational speeches but few care to hold the audience by the hand and help them walk their way to financial freedom like he does. Many have failed at everything they have tried to do but everything he does turns to gold. Read more…
