Meditation

You’ve probably heard it before and wondered, is that not psychic? Do I sit down, cross my legs , close my eyes and hum to a particular boring music? Is this what meditation is about? Of what benefit is it? You probabably haven’t meditated before and it doesn’t make any difference. Or does it?
hâgâh
haw-gaw’

The word meditate has a greek origin, hâgâh. This means to murmur with pleasure or anger. Meditation can hence be defined as muttering words laden with emotions. These emotions would come from actively imagining the words that one mutters as one meditates.  Meditation is a benefitial activity, as the mind controls the reality of a life. What you think about you eventually become, your life moves in the direction of your most predominant thought. Meditation is a time tested activity for creating desired experiences.  The tongue has the powers to kill and to bring to life, and mediation serves as the medium to sharpen the tongue and to give it expression.

Why not try to spend 15 minuites everyday meditating on something you want to become reality in your life, and let’s see if in 30 days you won’t be much closer there than you are today? I started some while back, but you too can join some people and start this habit here. Remember, start and don’t stop equals finish!

    Dear Deolu,
This is an interesting topic. Please permit me to share my thoughts.

For so long the prevailing thought was that all you do when you meditate is simple slide into a state of silence. This is not totally true. It is true only to the point that you process thoughts but you do not release them (speak them). To the best of my knowledge, meditation is never complete without muttering or speaking softly (but with deep conviction).

When you mediate, you release words; words that come from the abundance of your heart; words that reflect your thought process; words capable of changing any situation; words that have the dynamic ability to cause change.

Now, if it is true that we speak from the abundance of our heart and that our words are a reflection of our thoughts, then, the law of attraction must be very true.

The law of attraction states that we attract whatever we consistently think of and repel what we give less thought to.

Put differently, YOUR THOUGHTS PLUS YOUR WORDS INFLUECNES YOUR REALITY.

You cannot separate a man from his words. Neither can you separate a man’s words from his thoughts.

God demonstrated mediation at creation. The bible records that the Spirit of God hovered over the surface of the earth (HE processed HIS thought) and at a point, HE released HIS thought. HE spoke and that which was spoken became reality. Meditation works. It sure does. Remember ‘…ye shall have what ye say.’ Therefore, whatsoever is true*; whatsoever things are pure; whatsoever is of good report; whatsoever is honourable; whatsoever gladdens the heart; meditate on it.

    Thanks for reading through.

    Strength & Honour,
    Debo

The truths that set free, more often than not, are very subtle, simple, and seemingly intangible that they usually require one’s humility, faith and consistency (when giving it a try) to prove its efficacy. I am especially grateful to you that you don’t shy away from this type of “abstract” topics. The importance of positive meditation cannot be over emphasised. Keep the flag flying and very soon reference will be made to most of the articles on this site in great success stories. Cheers!

great men are made in silence. meditation is a process of renewing strategies, thereby accomplishing unfinished tasks in better ways.
