Over the past one week, we have been looking frantically for a qualified HR specialist for a  budding company. Very regularly also, when I go out for speaking engagements, I find one or more of the participants asking me how they can become HR specialists. I usually give them a brief answer about volounteering to gain experience and also registering with CIPM for now, and that there is something we are working on, that would be available for them soon.  Well, the time is ripe now, and we now have developed a course to help all those HR wannabe’s to become HR specialists. It’s unfortunate that none of our Universities offers this course, but you don’t have to worry anymore, we have a course that can take you from rookie to very knowledgeable in 4 days. During this course, you will be interacting with top HR Professionals (Managers and Directors) from different industries who will be facilitating different modules.

What is the Content?

This course will involve different modules of HR knowledge areas and best practices in- Talent Management, Performance management, compensation and benefits, policies and procedures, Learning and Development, Organizational Excellence, Employee Relations, HR Competitive Advantage, HR roles, HR Career path e.t.c. It will also involve case studies on how HR can add value. All participants will get an HR MBA (Methods Becoming Actions) Certificate upon successfully completing the course. Participants will also leave with 6 months free subscription of RECHARGE, and other interesting packages.
When is it holding?

The course will be taking off on February 17th, the course will hold on the 17th and 18th and on the next weekend which is February, 24th and 25th. It will involve assignments, case studies, team work and lots of fun and participative learning innitiatives.

Who can Attend?

The target audience for this training are graduates who desire to become HR practitioners, professionals who want a career switch into HR and current HR practitioners with less than 2 years HR experience. Applicants can be self sponsored or company sponsored.

How can I enroll and what are the costs?

Aspiring participants are expected in two categories. Self sponsored or Company sponsored. Self sponsored participants have the option of getting a scholarship worth 50% of the cost of the training, while company sponsored applicants are expected to pay the full cost. All interested applicants should signify interest by either mailing topsiesuzie@gmail.com or sending an sms to 08025320606 indicating names, phone numbers, email addresses and sponsor (self or company). The deadline for showing of interest is January 26, 2007.
To be eligible for the 50% scholarship, self sponsored applicants are expected to write a 500 words essay on the topic -” The Future of HR Management in Nigeria” and a power point presentation on “The Roles of HR Managers”. A panel of HR Managers and Directors will assess these and scholarships will be awarded to the top deserving particpants. All such essays should be sent to topsiesuzie@gmail.com and titled as “HR MBA Self sponsored”. Deadline for submition of essays is January 31, 2007.

Successful and unsuccessful candidates in this category will be duely informed about possible next steps. All other information about payment will be communicated through the communicated phone numbers and email addresses. The full course costs N50,000 only. The deadline for payment is February 9, 2007.

Are you interested or know someone that is?

If this HR MBA interests you or you know is suitable for any of your friends, kindly show your interest as stated above and inform your friends. If you have any further questions or enquiries, also do not hesitate to mail any of the addresses or call any of the numbers. You can also post your question as a comment here and expect that it will be answered. All the  best in your career.
