Yes. So far it’s a want, and does not require DOING what God wants, it’s a destructive spiral. Look at it this way, whenever you go before God armed with what you want, you have not come before God, you have come before more like Baal! (Jer 9:13-15)
When we ask things from God when we already have our wants in our heart, those wants are idols. God responds based on our heart idols, and it leads to our ultimate ruin! He answers but watch out for the result of those answers. (Ez 14:1-11, 2 Chron 18) Call it what you like, but God responds and rewards people based on how they are, and what they want. The best way to be well aligned with God, is to want nothing. You want a King? He will give you Saul. You want to go to war, he will send lying spirits.
Most people, especially in our day (1 Timothy 4:1-6, 2 Timothy 4:1-4) are looking for what they want to hear instead of what God says. What is the answer from the most High? I’ll give them what they want. 2 Thes 2:7-12 – God Himself gives them over to strong delusions because they did not love the truth.
What God wants you to want, is to want to do His will! To want to manifest His son! To want Christ’s fullness expressed through you. God wants you to manifest Christ fully, and the only avenue by which you’ll ever achieve this is by following Jesus! You do this by plugging into discipleship.
If you look at the list above very well, you’ll realize it is what many Preachers supply people with on Sunday mornings across the world. They are helping you to completely be separated from the Father, and choking whatever love you have left for God. Small wonder the Bible says that Satan masquerades as an angel of light, and so do his ministers as agents of righteousness. 2 Cor 11:14,15.
“Don’t love the world’s ways. Don’t love the world’s goods. Love of the world squeezes out love for the Father. Practically everything that goes on in the world—wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself, wanting to appear important—has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from him. The world and all its wanting, wanting, wanting is on the way out—but whoever does what God wants is set for eternity.” – 1 John 2:15-17 (MSG)
If you love the truth, you would like this. If you don’t, you would have already believed a lie. I cannot but continue to write about Jesus and His centrality to eternal life.
If you love the truth… you will find truth.
