Of late I have had a number of calls, online buzzes and people walking directly into my office to let me know how much they appreciate the work that we are doing. It’s always a source of encouragement for me, and my team, that what we are doing is being appreciated.

I’ve got calls from people saying they got jobs through our job site, people saying their lives have changed reading these articles, and people just calling in to say thank you. I’m grateful to all these people for not concealing their feelings, but letting us know and letting us receive motivation to continue. Most importantly though, I am grateful to God, his grace and mercy have been at the heart of my progress.

I met a young man lately, he tells me he has been going to sleep every night since he came into contact with this site, reading and reading. I was shocked when he told me that reading from here has changed his life completely and what was most shocking for him, was that he has never seen me in his life, and I had so much impact on him. I took time to interview him, to understand how he has transited from scamming to legitimate business in 2 weeks. I welcome you to read this interview of a changed man.

Adeolu Akinyemi: Ok…My friend… I’m trying to use my friend to keep your name anonymous… I think it’s better like that for now… What is your current resolve and what informed this resolve?
newguy: presently, I am trying to get my acts together and do something worthwhile that I can show and talk about in public
Adeolu Akinyemi: Hmmm… Interesting, When did you resolve to do this, and what informed the resolve?
newguy: for a couple of months I have been going through a phase of self rejection and self defeat, my self worth was dwindling due to the fact that I keep having more than enough at a time and getting broke after a couple of months
newguy: so my life kept having ups and downs
Adeolu Akinyemi: hmm…
newguy: during this time I kept looking for something I could do, till I bumped into your website, I was actually looking for something else when I did
newguy: since then it was like I had to read from there to stay focused, I got ideas inspirations and all
newguy: funny enough it started with the sapphire thing from First Inland Bank
Adeolu Akinyemi: hmmm… go on; let me know when I need to ask another question
newguy: when I saw the advert of how you cold make N500,000 every month with some work being done of course, I liked it, and decided to give m time to it and see if things could change
newguy: well not that I made that much so far, but it opened up my thinking and I started doing more researches on the internet and about online businesses that people could go into a make a bundle from without cheating or deceiving anyone
newguy: while I was doing this I kept reading form your site of course and I saw investment opportunities, especially the one you wrote on Canadian diamonds, it made a lot of sense to me and I decide to look for funds and go into it and other ones you wrote about, all this while I was still working on the sapphire thing
Adeolu Akinyemi: Hmmm… Without cheating or deceiving anyone.. that makes me curious, can you briefly describe your life before now?
Adeolu Akinyemi: What were you doing and how… give us your background… finished school… what next?
newguy: ok let me start from when I finished school, that’s was I graduated 2004 from the university of Calabar, February to be precise, and of course the whole world was staring me in the face with the reality of how to generate income and become a big boy overnight in Lagos
newguy: I saw small boys in my area making raves and spending lots of money without a care in the world, this really intrigued me
Adeolu Akinyemi: hmm..
newguy: I decided to find out what they were doing, coos I wanted to make that much money too
newguy: I did, and got into business big time,
Adeolu Akinyemi: Business – What were you selling?
newguy: made some money in a short while, bought myself a posh car, an Audi A4 to be exact, 2000 model, cost me about N1.6million, this was only about 4months into the business
newguy: lol
newguy: selling?
newguy: I was into runs
Adeolu Akinyemi: wow…
newguy: you know, big boys business
Adeolu Akinyemi: I’ll assume I know what that is… scam, yahoo yahoo?
newguy: lol
newguy: I didn’t like that word yahoo yahoo
newguy: I preferred guy man as the Ibo boys will call it
Adeolu Akinyemi: aah… so this is what they call guy man..
Adeolu Akinyemi: Ok, so business boomed very fast… and now you have decided to stop?
newguy: yeah it did, I made a lot of money in a short while, and initially I thought I was going to be able to invest this, but forget it, when it comes that fast you get carried away
newguy: you go clubbing, drinking Hennessey
Adeolu Akinyemi: hmmm…so its truly easy go easy come right?
newguy: showing off in the best clubs with the best girls and throwing money around to have a name
newguy: I got to the extent, I didn’t have to pay for any club in Ikeja axis and part of the big ones on the island
newguy: cos they knew me already
Adeolu Akinyemi: wow..
newguy: but the fact is this type of life was not always rosy, you get into police trouble often
newguy: and also when you get broke, it’s like you never made a dime before
Adeolu Akinyemi: Wow… Tell me, why do you think people fell for your lines? And which countries were you doing business with?
newguy: I started with UK
newguy: then we just buy cars on the internet and pay with checks that are definitely going to bounce after a couple of days
newguy: we usually over pay this unsuspecting people and then they send of the balance and there you have it free 4thousand pounds or 6thousand depending on what you can do newguy: when I bought my car I actually made about 17thousand pound s of 1person
Adeolu Akinyemi: Wow…I’ll prefer you don’t go into details… ( I don’t want this to be a guy man manual)
newguy: lol. anyway it was lucrative when ever it paid, but my conscience always pricked me for a while and then later your conscience dies after sometime, it becomes like your right
newguy: when you ask some boys why they do what they do, they give you different funny reasons
newguy: let me give you the most common lines
Adeolu Akinyemi: Ah… I’ll like to know those reasons.. .the mentality of a guy man
newguy: 1. They say these whites came to Africa and took our fore fathers as slave, so it pay back time… lol for which of your fathers
newguy: if they even came back now and said the are coming to take us for slave trade, a lot of people will beat the line to get in front… free Yankee visa
newguy: 2. another reason used to be, “the government is corrupt and does not create employment opportunities for us”
newguy: like we don’t have hands and legs to get something doing
Adeolu Akinyemi: Hmmm.. I’ve heard some of these before too
newguy: anyway, we gave several reasons just to clear our consciences
Adeolu Akinyemi: hmm..
Adeolu Akinyemi: So now you are pulling out and want to do it all legit… How do you intend to do this?
newguy: apart from being a born again Christian now, after reading through your site which really did inspire me I know that there are other ways out there. For my self-worth also I have decided to use my mind in the right direction, and believe me it has not been easy so far
newguy: especially with friends never believing me or always laughing when I told them I quit the game
Adeolu Akinyemi: hmmm… yeah, you said you have like 40+ friends who look up to you in this “game”, how are they buying your new direction?
newguy: lol…. I have tried severally to say I am out, they just laugh and say I have found a new way in the game and don’t want to spill the beans
Adeolu Akinyemi: hmm… they must really rate you high in this thing..
newguy: some think I am not alright, others say I have made some big money that I am still eating when its finished I’ll come back
newguy: yeah… I used to be very good at it, I could convince anyone that was difficult for them, and I even brought some of them into the game
Adeolu Akinyemi: Ah.. so how do you intend to help them out. Any tips you want to give to some who are in this who will read this article or to people who are just anticipating taking a plunge?
newguy: there are a lot of legit ways out there to make big money fast on the internet, but with work of course and if they are ready and willing to learn, I will show them
newguy: right now I am still attending seminars and even holding some on ways to make money on the internet legitimately, I am looking at building a business to reach out to the youths out there and let them know there are other ways
Adeolu Akinyemi: good stuff…sounds like our vision for our Antiscam network.
newguy: they have their minds bent on this being the only way to make money and unless they have a re-awakening, they will not leave what they are doing.
newguy: not even several visits to the police net can stop this.
Adeolu Akinyemi: so it’s not just repentance, it’s repentance with works to show a change of heart
Adeolu Akinyemi: re-awakening… I like that word
newguy: yeah, I really want to reach out the them out there and when I try now, cos there is no evidence presently to show that things can work this other way, they sometimes laugh at me
newguy: but they should give me a couple of months and see what’s gonna happen
newguy: I have been able to use my mind more in this few weeks than any other time in my life
Adeolu Akinyemi: Interesting..
newguy: and I believe with God on my side and good mentoring from someone like you who was able to do in a few weeks what pastors have tried to do in years and couldn’t do
newguy: the sky will be my foot stool
Adeolu Akinyemi: hmm…thank God.
Adeolu Akinyemi: Ok, so we have 2/3 of the issues covered… you have stopped this business and are changing your ways, you are also offering an opportunity to help people also change… only one thing is left now…
newguy: Yes, but I know they will want to see a difference b4 they will change and I am working towards that seriously
Adeolu Akinyemi: How do you intend to handle the people that once suffered from your intelligence?
Adeolu Akinyemi: Do you know any of them, and do you have any plan for them?
newguy: well I am still talking to one lady who actually made me to feel my conscience again after it died when I was really into the game
newguy: she actually got to find out that I had deceived her and collected money from her to the tune of about $18 to $25 thousand
newguy: she is a woman or should I say a human like no other
newguy: I actually call her my angel
Adeolu Akinyemi: hmm… what?
newguy: she forgave me and still kept in touch with me, after knowing that I had swindled her all these years
newguy: yeah she did and since she is the only one still in touch, I have made a resolve to pay her to the last dime, not in one day of course
Adeolu Akinyemi: ok, so you have your eyes on this as well…that’s good
Adeolu Akinyemi: You might want to get her to comment here later too… that’s by the way. So tell me what words of advice do you have for young Nigerians?
newguy: There are other legitimate ways to make far more than you’re making deceiving people, it is going to take some work, but it is do able and I can help you get there if you are truly changed
Adeolu Akinyemi: Out of curiosity though… you said you intended reading my entire website, that it has been very useful to you… can you say anything to people out there as well on your thoughts and ideas reading from here?
newguy: Your site is the best thing that has happened to my way of reasoning, I intend to read everything you have ever written, and I will advise every young Nigerian to read from this site like its a daily devotional, it will really change your life. Then to parents out there, b4 your teenagers join the reasoning of the boy on the street like I was, get them to read from www.deoluakinyemi.com it will give them insights of what they want to become and they will see boundless opportunities out there that can help them become something tomorrow
newguy: They should also watch out for my site, it will be coming out in a couple of weeks and I will be willing to guide them through on how to cash in big on legitimate offers out there
newguy: before go I also want to say, opportunities are out there, when you look for them you will see them, but it is not an opportunity if you let it pass you.
Adeolu Akinyemi: Word!
newguy: A very big thank you to you Deolu for agreeing to be a mentor and taking me as a friend. A lot of people would have pushed me off when they hear about my past. In future I will send some write ups for this site to help young Nigerians like myself have a change of heart, Thank you and may God continue to use you as a blessing to us all out there.
Adeolu Akinyemi: Amen. Will be willing to publicize your site when you are ready with it too. All the best, and be sure that I’ll be watching out for your success.

Stories like this touch my heart. This is a young man on the way to setting his records straight. We all make mistakes, only for some it’s graver than for others. Whatever mistakes you have made, you can keep ranting about them, or change. I look forward to hearing your testimony of a changed life or at least a better life. This is not all about me though… it’s about all of you who post comments here, together we are reshaping the future of Nigeria.
