Part 1 …
Once upon a time, in the city of Samaria, there were four lepers who had been outcasts for as long as they could remember. They were forced to live outside the city gates, in poverty and despair. They had given up hope of ever having a better life. To top it up, there was famine in the city, and they were desperately hungry and the voice of death was beginning to be audible to them.
These four lepers soon realized that staying where they were could lead to their death, and taking risks, and going into the camp of the enemy could lead to death. Head or tail, was not favoring their fate, they decided to show courage in the face of two evils and take a risk. Rather than stay and die, why not move and brave the possibility of a rescue, the possibility of something different, maybe better?
They ventured and soon discovered to their total shock and amazement that the enemy camp was deserted. Something miraculous had happened the previous night. The enemy had heard a strong sound that filled them with fear and tremor and they fled for their lives, leaving their armory and their stock of food and jewelry behind. The lepers came upon this great wealth by taking a risk on the back of having nothing to lose. It paid off handsomely and somewhere between helping themselves to a buffet of all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-grab, they suddenly developed a conscience.
The lepers figured they had packed enough for themselves and now have a duty to others to share. So they ventured to get as close to the king’s palace as they could get in their state to share the good news. Imagine, it sounded too good to be true. The king and his officials could hardly believe their story. The king felt this is probably a plan to ambush his team with the enemy. On the suggestion of an officer, they decided to send a few emissaries to go check out what was going on.
Yes, the news was confirmed.
Now let’s get to the most delicious part, the life applications that can do wonders for your life. To be able to apply this, you first need to understand where you are in this story. The role that connects with you, can make this story different for different people.
