NIGERIA LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE ANNUAL ESSAY COMPETITION
Theme: Value based Leadership
Essay question: What do you believe are the essential values a good Nigerian society should be built on and how? Give example of at least one present day Nigerian in any field of human endeavor you would describe as a values-based leader. Please note that your ideal person can be chosen from any profession. Explain why you believe he or she exemplifies values-based leadership.
Essay competition guidelines
• This competition is open to all Nigerians resident within and outside the country
• All essays must be 1 500 words or less, and should show thoughts, reflections and genuine views of the entrants
• Deadline for the receipt of all essays is Friday, 28th July 2006
• All entries must include a cover page with the following details:
Name
Age
Details of current position or educational institution
Contact address including phone number(s) and e-mail address
• Entries can be submitted online to essay@Nigerialeadershipinitiative.com or by post to P.O.Box 51599, Falomo, Lagos
The Prizes
First prize: The winner will receive an award of #250,000 and the wining essay will be published in a major national newspaper
Second prize: The second prize winner will receive an award of #150,000
Third prize: The third winner will receive an award of #100,000
