The Next Big Thing -National Rebirth
![]()
I have not had much sleep in the last 48hrs, I have been working hard with a few colleagues at arriving as close to perfection as possible on a project many of us are working on. My patriotism and desire for my nation and it’s unique people’s development is undeniable. I decided to venture into a book I wrote over a year ago that still remains unpublished. The title of the book is “10 things you should consider before choosing a career”. I don’t know if it happens to you, but I feel eerie when I read what I wrote long ago, I feel like it wasn’t me… and perhaps it really wasn’t.
One of my objectives for writing that book back then, was to help in Nation building and national rebirth. Today, my heart goes out to Nigeria and I think the thoughts in the book are still as powerful now, as they were when I wrote them. Read the entire clip from the book here.
When a soup is unpalatable, and the paste of the pounded yam that goes with it is not smooth, that is the time to know a man who loves to eat pounded yam. –Nigerian proverb
True patriotism is only detected when things are really bad! Many Nigerians, who have run away today, will soon come back when things start taking shape. The cry is for a vibrant nation, full of potentials and maximizing its potentials, a nation where its people can trample over themselves in Diaspora to come back to. While the principles set forth here are valuable to any community, it is my sincere desire that it will help my country to birth its next generation of leaders. People fully utilized in their primary interests, a people secure enough to burn the bridges of survival as they progress towards significance and national impact.
At this moment my mind flashes back to a video I watched some months back. A writer went to the open seas to meditate. He was out to see something that could free him from his writer’s block, and get the pages rolling. He had made a commitment with himself to show up at this beach everyday for the next 3 days. On the very first day everything seemed pretty normal, until precisely 2pm in the afternoon. A certain young man approached the waters, bent down, picked something up, ran forward and swung his arm towards the waves. He kept running back and forth each time repeating the same sequence; bent down, picked something up, ran forward and swung his arm towards the waves. The writer did not make much of it, he gathered his thoughts together, and later left.
The writer was back by the beach again the next morning, everything seemed pretty normal, until by 2pm again, this certain young man came again and resumed his dance, or what looked from afar like a dance. Out of curiosity, this writer decided to approach him. On getting closer, he discovered that rather than a dance, this man was doing something really strange. As the waves came in and returned to the sea, they carried millions of seashells with them. These small creatures if not returned to the water immediately would get scorched by the sun and die. The writer watched, after it seemed like eternity had passed, and bewildered by this apparent lunacy, he decided to ask the ‘dancer’ a question. “There are millions of seashells on the shore, by picking them one by one for an hour; do you think you can make a difference?” The ‘dancer’, without hesitating in his strides or discontinuing his work, ran back towards the shore, picked up a seashell, ran towards the water and swung the seashell towards the waves. As it landed in the water he smiled and replied, it sure makes a lot of difference to that one! The writer was deeply touched and joined the routine. 5 days after his commitment ended, he was probably still back in that place, helping to make all the difference in the world to one little seashell.
I may not be able to save all the seashells on the seashore, I may not be able to make a difference to all, but that should not stop me from making a world of difference to just a few fortunate ones, and who knows-the world may join me.
We can make this country great, one person at a time! Not tomorrow when everything is smooth and good, NOW!

{The next big thing has nation building as it’s primary objective, giving Nigeria and Nigerians a better image at home and abroad and reducing poverty in the land… it will be unveiled this week, watch out for it}

Hello. I am

Hi Deolu, incidentally I have been visiting your site repeatedly since I got to my office this morning awaiting the post on the “Next Big Thing” (Korea is 8hrs ahead of 9ja in time) and finally the post arrives. I agree that our country is potentially great but to turn this “potential energy” to “kinetic energy” that will lead to the much desired change in the economy, paradigm, government, etc, we all need to commit ourselves to playing our part. Evil prevails not because it is more powerful than good but because the good is quiet. Let’s join hands to make Nigeria the envy of the world…and we can!
Spot on Deolu, it sounds like the dawning of a new day for our country Nigeria.
I once again commend your courage and foresight in championing this great course.
one thing you must always remember is that whenever the purpose of thing is not known, abuse becomes inevitable; and even when purpose is known, it is untainable without FOCUS.
I await with great expection the birth of this project.
You are a rare gem and a beacon of hope to our generation.
More power to your elbow.
deolu we are all waiting for this next big thing hope it will console us 4rm cf and e-cash invest we are looking forword for the birth of this big thing.
I agreed in totality with you,we can make the difference right from our room,if we determine to do the right thing everyday at home ,while at the bus stop,in the street, at the playing ground, at work, churches and mosque the mumemtum will have ripple effect on the great country and we shall all be better for it.
It is well with our country Nigeria.
I feel you Adeolu. One thing comes to mind following your post and I know what you are about to start is no small task. We are looking at changing the mentality of the populace. You captain a titan that is about to do a 180 degree turn with this new initiative and to do that, a total shift in mentality, paradigm and self awareness of the typical Nigerian is key. I await the blueprint of this great endeavour.
Big Up ma brother!! Big up.
I love pounded Yam, Deolu. I really do. Gooluck
Allah yasa mu dace ! Ameen
Hey bro, keep up the good work cos
Nigeria ll certainly be great again
onLY beliEVE…….
Dee,
As much as i trust your instinct, i need you to give some meat to your write up these days…there’s some passion lost in d last few pieces and i can sense your urgency but cannot place a finger on it.
E-cash has been disappointing, but we have to move ahead. I eagerly await this upcoming project, however i have a problem withit being referred to as the “next big thing”. Does that mean it also has a life span and might join other grandiose and “noble” projects that bestrode the Nigerian investing world like colossuses?
It would make a great impact if it is viewed by people as a possible permanent fabric of our future as opposed to it being thought of as the “next big thing”.
That term sounds like a fad.
Big up broda!
We are eagerly waiting…
Deolu,
A piece of Advice.
You are someone I admire and respect a lot for your innovations and your uncanny ability to handle “problem issues”.
But ,at this point ,I feel it would be unfair if I dont give this piece of advice.
So far from your recent articles, I have seen that you and some people are bringing out a scheme referred to as the “Next Big Thing “. For all you care to know , some people see this next big thing (NBT) as being synonymous with “DeoluAkinyemi” and that is not too good for you.
Some people will join because they think YOU are in charge ( which could be true) and if YOU are in charge their risk is mitigated. lol !!!
Unless the NBT would not demand that you put money down and be on a board like ClubFreedom ,Getaway,Diamond CashClub etc…, there is no way it would pay everyone eventually. All those schemes are not meant to pay everybody.
So ,what happens to those who never get paid ,they will think you rip them off .
My Brother, only keep educating people about schemes like this, let people join knowing the risks involved , dont put yourself on the line (even if you are more involved in it than ClubFreedom)………….They say ” A word is enough for the wise ”
But , depending on what the program is ,I would likely join it so folks on this website should look at it and join based on their own ability to take risk not because of Deolu.
Think U got it…………Keep On keeping On.
Dotun Adekanmbi.

@ Morakinyo,
What we are about to embark on, would outlive us- we pray… so I agree it’s not just the next big thing.
It’s a miracle I’m posting in the last few days… I have never felt I needed rest like I do now…lol, but rest is coming.
Thanks bru.
@ Dotun
I feel you, and know that you have my best interest at heart. If knowing the likes of you and many others is the only benefit a man derives from joining Clubfreedom or any network marketing program, it’s worth it.
Like you, I have done some MLM, and have learnt that most people will not benefit from the boards, I won’t degrade myself to pushing anything that doesn’t have great value for all. I’m sure soon enough, we’ll be privileged to fully unveil it.
We haven’t even quite started what we have in mind, and already we have people who got a glimpse indicating interest in donating cars, houses and leverage to the course.
I appreciate you once again Dotun, and trust me, I think we have a good chance of moving things forward in this Nation.
I hope THE NEXT BIG THING(NBT) is like the”share in the wealth” scheme which is not MLM,needs no downline and everybody shares from the pot.Analogous to a party where everybody brings food and drink and at party end there is surplus for everybody.
Havent we all thought of the next big thing at one point or the other? I have had mine on the drawing board even before the advent of CF,GAC,etc.Just that resolving the technical chanllenges remains a challenge.
I WISH THE “NBT” UNQUALIFIED SUCCESS.
If anybody can do it I think it is Deolu.
Best personal regards and I can’t wait to invest.
I’m looking forward to be a part of this one.
Thumbs up, Deolu!
Big up my oga, imoisilis.com wishes you and others successful outing in NBT.
Deolu, I pray God will grant u the strength and the spirit to keep these things up. I was telling my dad recently that his generation (60s upward) are unrepentantly corrupt. But that with someone/persons like u (Deolu), our generation might have hope. We need people who are ready to work on ground zero where it’s all dirt but at the same time, it’s the foundation of any sky scrapping edifice. God is prepared to work in our nation and we must be ready to be his willing hands. See you at the top.
@deolu,
If the ‘next big thing’ is the same as the NNC for which i have seen the PPT presentation…..then there needs to be more education as to how it is a nation building tool. I have plenty of questions running around in my head…..
We are all waiting patiently for this next big.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope it’s
Really the “next big thing”
http://www.freelancez.blogspot.com/
hello all,
I agree with delagasky…I have lot of questions in my head too and I have also seen the NNC presentation, I cant differientiate it from ongoing schemes like CF and GC…. I need more clarification on this, deolu please shed more light especially the nation building part
@degalaksy and Bone,
I quite understand the questions in your head. I’ll recommend that you safely delete the presentation you have with you as it is not up to date and is not a full brief of our agenda, that was just uploaded to test the site.
If you can be a little patient, I’ll let the cat out of the bag. I haven’t writen much because the project is currently taking virtually all the time of myself and my colleagues in Generis…and unfortunately a lot of mixed signals are going out.
Ahead of getting out the entire gist, think about this. What does Nigeria need to be great again? What is the first step forward in the change of the story of any nation or man? Think about these things. What we want to achieve is not tied to the limitation of the thinking power of any one individual, it’s supposed to be a course riding on the waves of a technology that has the capacity to speeden the achievement of the course and bring many ideas to fruition. Oyinbo po…lol
Deolu,
There are men and women that are willing to commit themselves to a course that will uplift our nation.
While I am waiting for the details, I will like to point out that there are some of us that believe that apart from the overhead and running costs, this nation building effort needs not be a profit making venture for the promoters and participants.
The components of this great venture that may have to do with “referrals and downliners” and subsequent cycling out to make money must not be significant.
Once it is obvious that we are not in it for the sake of the benefits only, governors, ministers, great men of God, senators and even the president will identify with it.
And it will be a great honour to serve and be part of this “National Rebirth”
heard enough about the NBT
the funny thing is that i am already
telling people about it, and i hardly
know a thing about it…
pls oga me sir, I need to catch a glimpse of it
maybe its something i can contribute to before investing in it.
